Before joining Club Sweat, Nick was feeling very overwhelmed with the idea of losing weight, not knowing where to start and unsure if Club Sweat would work. Nick has worked with many personal trainers in the past, trying diet after diet but finding nothing was sustainable for the long haul.
Before Nick retired, he worked as a backhoe operator for 35 years. His job required hours upon hours of sitting and driving which did nothing but wreak havoc on his knees and lower back. “I never had energy as being overweight restricted me of many activities. My knees and back were constantly sore.”
Nicks main goal before joining CS was to lose weight and finally free himself of pain. “I am retired and didn’t want to be in so much pain, I want to be able to enjoy my retirement. I felt restricted from many daily activities and my health was getting in the way of many things.”
Since starting with CS 5 months ago, Nick has lost a total of 18 pounds and he is not stopping!
“I enjoyed that I can still eat what I love just in moderation. Dan and Ashley don’t make you feel like you’r missing out on your favourite meals or that you are restricting yourself from anything. The workouts are also great because they are tailored specifically to you and your goals.”
“Knowing what to cook was really hard for me. I really liked that they told me I can eat what I
want but it is all about balancing my day overall. Ashley also really helped because she made suggestions to what I was already eating in the day. I didn’t have to cut everything I was eating out or start a restrictive diet. I knew their approach would be sustainable for me which makes me want to keep going!”
Nick not only feels stronger since joining, he is incredibly proud of his weight loss and just how much better he feels overall. His knee pain has decreased substantially and he has so much more energy to do all the things he loves to do. In just 5 short months, Nick is excited!! He loves the change he sees in himself and cant wait to see what the next 5 months can do for him!
