How often do you feel like food is your enemy?
I can’t tell you how many times one of the team members has sat down and heard a potential client say:
“I want to feel confident when going out and not worrying about the food that will be provided and have trust in myself that I will make wise choices and enjoy the company I’m with, and be in the present moment and not have my mind consumed on food.”
Food is not your enemy!
By being aware, keeping full and energized, you won’t feel like you’re making such a “sacrifice” that dieting typically inspires.
In fact, at the beginning of your journey, we prefer you dont change a single fucking thing. We would rather figure out what your lowest-hanging fruit is, something easy that you would be ok changing.
See the issue is, if you treat your diet as an enemy, something you have to battle each and every day, ultimately you’re going to lose. This pathology sets you up for failure from the start.
You want to work with, not against, yourself. No war to be waged here. As long as you keep your average intake reasonably under control and understand the fundamentals about healthy living, you’re going to make the progress you desire.
It’s a process, and implementing a new process takes time and patience. You’ll come out on top by developing new habits that override the old unhealthy habits of the past.
You need to fall in love with the process
“But what about nutrition?” What do I actually eat?”
As far as nutrition is concerned, you have to create balance, we would never ask you to give up the foods you love because honestly it just won’t work. Instead, why not try a healthier version? Half fat cheese reduces calories immensely, switching from 2% milk to almond milk 1x per day will save you over 700 calories per week! (it takes 3500 calories to burn a pound of fat) 5 weeks of doing nothing different besides the switch in your milk and you’ll burn off 1 freaking pound!
No obsessive calorie restriction, no points system, no bullshit.
Flip your mindset from the all or nothing approach to some of this and some of that approach for the win!
