Since joining CS 5 years ago, Hannah has been through it all! Group Training, Virtual Training, Semi Private Personal and now Semi Private Training through her first pregancy. Oh yes, and this is her second (Well deserved) Client Of The Month! 🙂
“Training during pregnancy has felt like an ever-changing beast that Ash & Dan have been helping me tame. They might not remember now, but I actually broke my wrist the month before I got pregnant, so we were only training with legs for a few weeks there. I then went on holidays, and by the time I got back, I knew I was pregnant. So after the broken wrist I was already feeling pretty confident that we would be able to change up my training program to fit whatever I needed, and that’s just what Ash & Dan have done. In any given week we’ve had to change things up for how I’m feeling or a new change in my body. Embracing the need to adapt has been the biggest change in my training since becoming pregnant!”
Now that Hannah has become pregnant her goals have definitely changed. “ I don’t exactly have a waistline anymore, so no point measuring that! I most of all wanted to feel good and strong in my body still, which admittedly hasn’t always been the case through each stage of the pregnancy. I still like to push myself when I can to get in an extra set or a faster bike sprint, but I do listen to my limits more. Some days it feels like my goal is just to show up and see what I can do without expectations.”
When we asked Hannah what shes most proud of since joining CS she said “After this long, I should have smashed all my goals and be ‘finished’, right? Instead, the most impactful thing for me has been finding a way to enjoy the challenge of exercise & fitness such that I keep showing up week after week, month after month, year after year. Sometimes I’m not in a great mood beforehand, but still somehow I always go; sometimes I’m ready for the session to be over halfway through, but still somehow pick up the weights for another set. So I am most proud of my positive attitude toward exercise now. That might sound like it’d all be on me, but I really don’t think it is. I think that mentality was built not just by showing up and putting in the work, I think the community at CS makes it easier to channel that energy.”
Hannah, I swear we become more impressed by you week after week. We knew youve always been driven but seeing you over the last 8 months of your pregnany has brought it to a whole other level! We cannot wait to meet your baby GIRL! And we are so excited to start working with you again during your post partum journey (whenever that may be and whatever that looks like). You know were ready for you, when ever you are!
