One thing I always remind myself and my clients of.
Without change, you get the same results
So if you are not happy with the way you look and feel then it’s time to start making some changes.Change is not always easy, bad habits die hard and we often fool ourselves and justify beliefs that are not very successful.
One common belief is that running is the best way to burn fat.
If you are not getting outstanding results from your running then I highly recommend that you try some bodyweight cardio instead.
Bodyweight cardio is..
* Better for your joints resulting in less injury than running
* Better for your overall strength and core conditioning
* Better for your movement and mobility skills
* Requires no equipment and very little space
* More effective for fat loss than running and in less time
Here’s a 4-minute bodyweight cardio beginners workout:
1. Alternating Forward Lunges
2. Jumping Jacks
3. Y Squats
4. Fast Mountain Climbers
Perform 20 seconds work and then 10 seconds rest before moving onto the next exercise. Repeat the workout for a total of 2 rounds.
Here’s one for the exercise pros:
1. Squat Thrusts
2. Alternating Side Lunges
3. Burpees
4. High Knees
Perform 45 seconds work and 15 seconds rest before moving onto the next exercise.
So if your running is not working for you and you want to step up your training to a quicker and more effective form of fat loss cardio then give this a try.
It’s only 4 minutes, what have you really got to lose?
