Brent is a successful (busy) account executive in the tech industry, which means he knows exactly how important it is to be active and fit. Brent has always been an athlete and before previously joining the tech industry he was a high-level bat catcher. A sport he still gives back to and coaches (go Reds go!)
Before starting up with Club Sweat, Brent always knew he needed to make fitness a priority in his life (and wanted to) but like most of us, work easily came first. As Brent puts it, it’s a “Nice built-in excuse”. Working in the tech field is stressful and Brent coped with it through food.
One day, Brent woke up and decided he needed to make a change and put his health and well being over everything else. Some of Brent’s good friends have been training at Club Sweat for a while now and he heard good things. After tossing the excuses to the side Brent finally reached out and “went for it.”
Brent came in with a goal of losing 60lbs in 1 year (lofty but not unrealistic). After seeing how committed Brent is, we can tell you that he is definitely on his way to crushing that goal but more importantly, he is starting to focus on other goals and really understanding that weight loss is just one benefit to living a healthy, active lifestyle. Brent like most of us has had weight loss goals for a long period of time before he decided to really jump in and attack it. Not only is he shedding weight, but his energy levels are also improving, his mood has changed and his overall confidence has shot through the roof (evident by other tech firms offering him jobs!)
Brent is easily one of the most driven people to ever walk through Club Sweat’s doors. He just needed a little accountability and guidance. Brent never misses a week of sending in his food, he took the concept his coaches preach of 1 habit at a time, and ran with it. Brent still enjoys his life, his weekends away with friends and he understands that its a process. By changing 1 thing at a time, will lead to big changes for the long term!
Brent may slip up the odd day, or have a couple more drinks than he had planned but he wakes up the next day right back on track knowing its just a momentary setback and that 6 good days trumps 1 bad day no matter how you spin it.
Brent may be super proud of the 20lbs he has dropped in his first 2 months but for us trainers, seeing him walk through the doors of the gym like a badass, seeing the awareness he has created around his food log and the confidence he has in himself is the best thing we could ever ask for.
T hanks for being a great inspiration Brent, were honored to have you as a member of our community and letting us be a part of your amazing success.
