Growing up in Brazil, Ana had ALWAYS led an active lifestyle. Playing volleyball and handball in her university days, to trying out all of the newest classes at her local gym, was just a part of who she was. “Coming from a big family, I would go to the gym with my sisters and my friends. We had a sense of community, and working out was also a social thing to do.”
Before joining Club Sweat Ana had tried out a few different big box gyms and community centers but hated that they were friendly until they had your money, and then you became just a number. Last-minute class cancellations and the impersonal service she received was enough to make her walk away. She then tried out Crossfit and ended up loving it! The problem was, Crossfit didn’t love her. “I got injured multiple times and realized I was spending more time “healing” than exercising.”
Before joining Club Sweat, Ana knew exactly what she was looking for:
#1- A fitness place close to home. #2- A mix of strength/cardio exercises. #3- Classes early in the morning. #4- Fitness experts that would challenge me and keep me motivated and #5- Great people!
After googling gyms in her area and reading multiple reviews, she knew Club Sweat was it the very moment she stepped in. “I felt a welcome vibe and I knew I would love it from the very moment I met with Ash and Dan!”.
Ana’s goal when she joined Club Sweat was to just keep a consistent fitness routine. She was not attached to looking a certain way and didn’t care about the numbers on the scale. “I’ve been to so many gyms, fitness groups, and boot camps, I was just tired of it! I wanted to settle. I wanted to be part of a community. To me, exercise is not just about losing weight. The feeling was always attached to how much fun I had when I exercised with my sisters and friends when I was young. It is how it makes me feel afterward. I wanted that feeling back and that’s exactly what I got from Club Sweat!”.
Ana has been a member of CS for the past 3 years and although her goal was to just keep going, she has gained so much more! “ I have lost 20lbs, met some great people, I sleep better and have so much more energy!”.
“Thanks to COVID, I am now attending the semi-private sessions along with the virtual sessions that I can enjoy from the comfort of my own home. Dan and Ash have created a program tailored specifically to my body and to my goals. I can definitely say that combining both services has made such a difference in the way I feel. I am stronger than ever and well on my way to getting arms like Ash! 😉 ”
